Just a quickie. I have this thing where if it's not midnight yet I refuse to go to bed and I go start something else. Tonight that happened to be this :p

About an hour and a half. It's not perfect. I just like having a go at doing different things now and again.

I think it's just the hair, but... I revisited this today, and my first thought was that she looks just like the new Companion, Jenna-Louise Coleman. Appropriate, given the Jonas/Ten connection. =D

There is an odd dip in the right form edge of her face that makes her look middle-aged... ish. The end of her nose is not tilted at the same angle as her eyes and lips. It doesn't look correct to me, double check it. Anya seems to look consistently different every time you render her realistically. Maybe that's just me. This one, though, defiantly doesn't look like her other than the hair style and color (which you personally mentioned on the image of Jonas in the asylum is no way to judge/recognize who a person is :P)

And I don't agree with the person that said you should define the hair strands more. Talk about “noodling” it out. Hair is visually seen as one mass anyway. I think what you have here is sufficient. You only need to give the idea of hair, not every strand. You could actually lessen the detail of the hair. It distracts from the face a little, which is meant to be the focal.

It would have been lovely if you had put shadow on the face for dramatic/interest reasons. This is a very simple piece.

Everyone is having that problem coming out of the anime influence and trying to make characters look more eastern/european or any other ethnicity rather than asian. Your comic actually been progressing pretty nicely, the characters don't give an animish feeling like the first couple of chapters did. Interesting at why you made her specifically Russian in the novel. Otherwise I have fun reading the russian dialogue. =D

Looking at this one makes me think of Sarah Brightman as Blind Mag in Repo! The Genetic Opera.

VAVAVOOM. I don't blame Jonas atttt all.

Or his wife for being jealous. >.> I wonder what she'd look like if the reality wand was waved.
