I'm kinda sick of poking at this one now. It's fundamentally broken, but at least I don't hate it as much as I did.

Photoshop, at least 20 wasted hours

Varden & Lei'ella from Inverloch.

EDIT: For those of you wondering why I think it's broken, it's the composition and flow. Elements in an image should be arranged so that the eye naturally flows from one point to another, covering the entire image in the process. Here... there's no 'nice' way to visually scan the image, to my mind.

The whole thing looks great, although I can understand (very vaguely) that it is "broken". Possibly because the scenery doesn't seem as tilted as the characters for some reason?

I haven't played it, but Varden is making me think of Assassin's Creed

If you follow the lighsources in the picture (the fire/ interior lighting, the reflection on Varden's arm, the moonlight on Lei'ella, and then the moonlight coming through the clouds) it makes a nice arc of sorts. If you ever want to come back to this one maybe working with those elements would make it better to you. >_>;;

Yeah, something about the composition looks off. I think it would have flowed a lot better without Lei'ella. But of course, she's pretty important.

I think the initial focal point is Varden's face, then the eye moves down his arm, and up to Lei'ella's face. Or maybe the other way, starting from the light spots in the clouds, and going to Lei'ella's face, up Varden's arm, etc.
