As I was painting this I couldn't get the darn Cheesecake Shop jingle out of my head. If you're Aussie, you'll probably know the one I mean...

So yeah, Elanor from Dreamless in the style of 1940s pinup artist Gil Elvgren. Just for fun, cause I'd never do a pinup of my own characters :p

Old pinup art is really interesting. The girls are always beaming, going about their business (in less clothes than normal) or looking completely surprised to have been caught with their legs bare. They also have great shoes.
Very classy as far as modern male titillation goes!

I love that beautiful face! You captured the pin up style with those legs, heels and tight, short outfit.

I'm so excited about the Dreamless comic! It's looking great so far. :D

I hate the new pinup art... it's gross. I love this, though. It's so pretty.

It's a franchise that sells all sorts of yummy cheesecakes. Of course, there's also the secondary definition of cheesecake, which is what makes the jingle kinda weird to think about...

Very classy! So nice not to see full nude. Very clean lines and the colors are amazing!

Wow! This looks marvelous! I can see this hanging on the wall in the quonset hut of some fly boy fighting the Japanese, or next to the bunk of a sailor escorting convoy's in the North Atlantic...

Very well done!

You know, this would make awesome nose art on a B-17.

Woo pinup! I havent seen one of these in....well, not very long since my lady got me a book of them for christmas. You're right, they're very classy and innocent, and sometimes mischevious. You've pulled it off very nicely!

far be it for me to criticise anything you've knocked out but, quality of the painting and anatomy not withstanding, she seems, erm, a little rigid and floating. I'm not sure how exactly to make it clear but the pose seems very harsh and un-natural where it interacts with the environment, she seems to be balancing on her right ankle and the point of her shoulder her right shoulderblade, which looks rather forced. From what I've seen of other pinups, their reclining poses tend to be softer, more relaxed, in the style of the lifemodel reclining, but with a bit more flirt in the limbs and face. Can you see what I'm talking about or am I just being facetious? It's a beautiful piece, vague uncomfortableness notwithstanding
