The details in this picture really help build up a picture of the character and setting. The fire's motion blur gives me a strong sense of movement - it looks like they suddenly rushed up from his hand, rather than just that his hand is on fire, which is what I've seen some artists do for similar scenes. I'm sure that fans of the fantasy genre will be drawn into this book just from the cover alone.

I really like these book cover comissions. I saw one other for a necromancers apprentice and this firebrand.... are those the titles of the books? XD cause i would really like to look into reading them. your art is very good advertisement for them cause it makes me wanna read them :3

Those are the titles, yup. Necromancer's Apprentice is currently only available as an E-Book, but the print version will be out soon; Firebrand is still being finished.
