I love doing fanart. Whenever I paint my own characters, I tend to over-obsess about getting them perfect, ensuring their face looks right, etc. But with fanart I can play around a bit, change my style, and I feel freer to do something a little different.
I haven't actually done a full-body painting for a very long time - at least, nothing that wasn't cel-shaded - so it was nice to actually complete one. Comics have turned me into an impatient artist, I don't like to spend more than a few hours on anything any more
Perhaps one day soon I'll actually do a full painting of one of my characters, with a proper background to boot.
She's beautiful I love the haunting quality you always manage to give in your colouring. So awesome that you're posting! Fanart definitely gives you a lot of room to experiment, not having to follow any pre-existing format you've set for yourself. It'd be great to see one of yours done like this!
Very nice. It's good to see more stuff from you, seems like it's been a while.
