Ohh, I didn't know that you were doing a cover for Dreamland! I was going to run out to buy a copy, and now I'm hoping that I get this in there. I should buy Inverloch while I'm at it. Inverloch, Dreamland Chronicles and Earthsong are the three online comics I really would love to have in book form.
This is so pretty, I really like your interpretation of Kiwi. I like how she has a butterfly on her hand, instead of leaving that trail of butterfly-patterned fairy dust she normally does.
Well Scott mentioned that it's best to pester your local comic shop instead of going to a big bookstore, so knowing the big comic store around here (creatively named The Comic Shop) they'll have the alternative covers along with the original. The only problem is yes, finding out when. If I have to wait until Christmastime to get a beautiful cover, then I will.
That's just beautiful. I really love the soft painted look you achieve in Photoshop, and your backgrounds are always amazing. I'd love to see a tutorial of your techniques. I can never seem to get a good painted/blended look in Photoshop. Maybe I just need to try harder.
Breathtaking! As I said in my email...I'm absolutely honored and flattered. You humble me with your talent. This is going to be a wonderful cover for the monthly comic book. I can't wait to see it in stores. Thanks so much. Scott
Under 4hrs, wow you really have mastered this art form! I love Dreamland Chronicles, though haven't been reading it as long as your work. Kiwi looks lonely in the soft lighting. Wonderful work as always
Really like how you did the water on the leaves; it looks almost photorealistic!. Also nice to see you getting the time to work on non-PR artwork (not that I've got anything against PR, I just believe that variety keeps life interesting ).
