I greatly admire all the old classic 18th - 19th century portrait painters. Of course, they didn't have computers and undo buttons and drawing tablets, which makes their work even more amazing.

Given the era of my comic I thought attempting such a style of painting would be fitting.

Edit: I forgot to say this is Robyn. I wrongly assumed that everyone was familiar with his surname ^_^

I also adore that style of painting, and I think you captured it well. :)

I love how you made it look realistic, yet you kept the ';painted' look as well.

Wonderful~! The textures and everything. Just one thing, if you're looking for critque. (Ignore me if not XD )

Just looking at it overall the head looks a bit small. Especially in comparison with his shoulder, even though it's 'closer' to view. Course it could just be the style of the clothing that throws it off. *shrug*
