Done in 2003. I was a compulsive Wheel of Time fan-artist at one point - I drew nothing else. I must say, I'm glad I got past that :p

I've loved this depiction of Moiraine since the first time I saw it. I thought I had it faved already. I can definitely see a difference between this and your more recent pieces: you paint with more life now and your pictures have a certain glow to them. But this is still a beautiful painting :D

I love the way you manage to capture the textures and weight of all the different fabrics you draw. It amazes me in The Phoenix Requiem as well.

Hi there!

This is really strange, but I am in fact the person that won the 'competition' on your website to come up with a theme for this image. (I also remember being promised a print of this, and never receiving it, haha. I put this down to being on the other side of the world :) )

Anyway, I love this piece. You can see your dramatic improvement over time, and it is awesome. This also reminds me of my teenage years when I look at it, as that is when I frequented your site.

You have a big fan in me :)

Um... what? I never offered such a thing, or held a competition. It sounds to me like somebody has stolen my work, do you know where the original contest site is?

Oh, it was years ago on your original artsangel website. At the time it was mostly Wheel of time fan art you were producing, and you asked for ideas for a picture you wanted to produce of Moiraine, and I suggested something along the lines of using water in the image, as the water and flame would juxtapose.

It was such a long time ago, I must have been around 14 at the time (and I'm 22 now). So just thought I would mention it to see if you would remember! :)

Still, loving your recent work a lot. You can really see how much you have improved over the years, and you were fantastic originally.

i am a huge fan of your art. especially your WoT art. they are the only accurate depictions of the characters Robert Jordan created imo. i was curious if you still had those. and if you did if you could maybe e-mail them to me for personal use. They are a great inspiration and I hope to be as good as you one day
