Jonas Faulkner, a man who has unfortunately been stuck with the task of sending the dead on their way while those who are meant to be doing so are on their coffee break. Or imprisoned. Or something.
When I first started reading TPR in February I wondered who would be cast in the film version. I only remember briefly considering Jude Law for the role of Jonas, only to change my mind the instant I saw a picture of David Tennant.
Pity that he's almost 40 already, but then, Jonas is an old soul -- maybe it'd still work?
Jonas looks so much like David Tennant...sooo cute, and funny. He's funnier when he drunk- bless Robyn. (yes, i am still currently readin the comic- it's AMAZING!)
Cool. I will go on talking about a not-really related topic, so just read this: this drawing is very very cool.
Now the long winded speech: I know the character, of course. I read your comic. But also I had a character on an RPG (Mage, if you wish to know such details), that was an old man "made" of smoke... and when hurt, he sort of absorbed or took into his body inciense smoke while meditating. He recovered lost parts of his own mind/soul, and so he remembered who he was; and began to look younger.
He died before becoming a megalomaniac villain. If he had kept going, he would have looked somewhat like this. Always anachronistic in appearance.
A mix between Jason Bourne and Merlin, with a very nasty dark side.
It pained when he had to die, and for a couple of weeks msn/skype nicks from the gaming party were in remembrance to "Professor McDougall". On the other hand, it was good to play the whole story of the character. Having a closure and all.
I always love seeing you draw shades because I always mentally add in their screams in my head. xD
The layout on this is better, but I do think the bright area above his head draws my eye to stare at a blank yellow space a bit. Still, good framework.

Love how the shades run through his hand smoothly. Nice going!
