This is an amazing work! The setting and postures of the characters fit together perfectly for a novel/book cover. the lighting is spectacular as well. The whole composition leads the eye around the painting from the girl's body to her face, then to the man which seems to be the 2nd focal point, to observe what she's looking at. Her expression is very gripping as well.
If I do have crits though~ This composition seems to be of the more mysterious type, and makes the audience wonder who the man is, what are those spirits grabbing around him, what is the woman thinking, what relationship does she have with the man, etc. But it seems to me that for this kind of setting, the colors throughout the picture are too vibrant. The more intense colors might be used on the man and the woman's face, but then the building in the background and her fur jacket might be greyed down and shaded so that there is less contrast to catch the eye. Then there is a more mysterious and somewhat creepy outlook to match the "story" that onlookers think of.
I don't draw people well, so the colors and shading are my only critique. Other than those tiny things, this entire painting is incredibly well done!! Fantastic job!
This really is my favourite piece of artwork right now. I honestly cannot describe how much I am in love with it so I'll just leave the comment at that
Hi, I just wanted to say I'm impressed with how many pages you can get done. I still have to sit down and read the whole novel but I opened pages at random and I think your stuff is awesome. Wow, only 4-5 hours on each page is what I think you said in your faq.... I'm working on my own Web comic but it is taking me a lot longer than 4-5 hours per page...I'm afraid to time myself I'm so turtle slow.
Aw, I love this picture and I also love your novel! I discovered it very recently and devoured every published page! Please keep up the wonderful work!
