From a script by Bernard Caleo for the 'Tides of Hope' comic book created to raise funds for Queensland flood victims.

Each page of the comic tells a different story of flood survival, written and illustrated by different artists.

The 32 page comic will be available at Supanova Pop Culture Expo Brisbane & Melbourne this coming April [link] for $10. 100% of the proceeds raised will be donated.

Unfortunately no, the comic is limited to 1000 and exclusive to the local conventions.

What silly girl, I don't think you still have to wait for the light if a flood is going on.

I was very interested to see the final page after following your updates on twitter the other night. Gorgeous art, and I think you did this flood survival story justice.

This page is beautiful.

And even though it's simple share of dialogue, it makes me really sad. :C Well done.

I live in Brisbane, and although I managed to evacuate without harm (to a different part of the state where I got severe family disasters instead, OTL), I know many people personally who were affected by the floods and suffered loss of property and loss of life.

As soon as I saw the thumbnail for this I could tell what it was going to be about, and I think it's amazing to see how far the crisis has stretched, and how many people around the world are opening their arms to contribute in all different ways. 8)

Thank you. If I can get to Supanova, I will definitely buy a copy or two.
